
Anna Kay Faris, famously known simply as Anna Faris, was born on the 29th of November in Baltimore, Maryland. She has French, English, German, Scottish and Irish lineage. Though born in Maryland, she was raised in Edmonds, Washington. She finished high school at the Edmonds Woodway High School. Then she attended the University of Washington and took up English Literature. Anna is best known for Scary Movies’ Cindy Campbell.
It was her parents who first encouraged her to act. When she was nine years old she had her first professional acting stint at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Her first major role was in the independent film Lovers Lane in 1999 though she gained popularity in the horror parody Scary Movie which was released the following year. For her role in Scary Movie she died her hair black to resemble Neve Campbell since she played her equivalent for the movie Scream.
Though already considered as one of the rising stars of 2000, she became even more famous when she appeared in the hit sitcom Friends. Her recurring role Erica brought her to celebrity status. Then she landed a role in the film Lost in Translation. In the critically acclaimed movie she played an actress promoting the movie Midnight Velocity. She also appeared with Ryan Reynolds in the movie Waiting.
